KCC Music Committee

Meeting Minutes – Oct. 3, 2005

Attending: Kay Murray, Greg Benoit, Pawel Jura, Deirdre Hooge, Steve Wnuk

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.  The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.

 

Music Director’s Report

-         Concerned about Sr. Choir attendance.  We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks.

-         Oct. 19 Christmas Cantata rehearsals begin.

-         Bell Choir has 3 new people.  Bell Choir will play on Oct. 23 & 30.

-         Greg will build a new platform for the bells. 

-         Junior Choir had about 25 kids at first rehearsals.

-         Senior PF will be doing the service on Oct. 16 so no choir needed that Sunday.

-         Spottswood joint service cancelled.

-         Dec. 18 is Christmas Sunday and also White Gifts Service.

-         Pawel will be taking New Year’s Day off.

 

New Business

-         Deirdre will formulate a questionnaire to encourage choir recruitment.

-         Dan Moore and the Wheeler School Hand Bell Choir may be doing a concert at Bethany Covenant on March 30.  We may need to help them with sleep-overs for their kids.

 

Our next meeting will be Nov. 7, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
