KCC Music Committee

Meeting Minutes – Jan. 9, 2006

 

Attending: Annette Banulski, Kay Murray, Greg Benoit, Pawel Jura, Deirdre Hooge, Steve Wnuk

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m.  The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.

 

Music Director’s Report

-         Jan. 28th concert with CCSU students

o       Free Will offering.  Sexton will be paid first.  Divide balance 3 ways ($100 max for artists).  Anything left to Music Committee.

o       Refreshments: Music Committee will bring 2 baked goods each.

o       Music Committee will usher.

-         Choir rehearsals start this week.

-         Will compensate Ginny for substituting for Pawel’s holiday.

-         Easter Rehearsals may begin on Feb. 22.

-         Dec. 24th 11pm services include Bell and Senior Choir .

-         $750 for Brass Quintet for Easter.  Will request $ from Law Fund, Music Memorial Gifts and Memorial Gifts

-         Bell Choir will attend a concert at St. Joe’s in Bristol on March 30.

-         Pawel is very pleased with how the Christmas Cantata was received

 

Existing Business

-         Spring Concert scheduled for March 26th at 3:00

o       Program includes The McGee School Sound Express, our Bell Choir and possibly trumpet players with organ or an organ solo.

o       Greg will design the program playbill.

o       Advertising: Courant, Herald, Citizen, Flyers, Sign by church, Community Boards.

o       Refreshments will be cookies, finger foods and punch.  Sr. Choir will be asked to help with this.

o       In return for Sound Express appearance, our Bell Choir will play at a McGee concert either 5/4 or 5/11.

o       First $300 of proceeds to be divided between Sound Express, Bell Choir and Pawel.  Balance to Music Committee

 

 

Our next meeting will be Feb. 6, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
