KCC Music Committee

Meeting Minutes – June 5, 2006

Location: The Benoit’s home.

Attending: Greg Benoit, Pawel Jura,  Steve Wnuk, Mary Clarkson, Kay Murray, Deirdre Hooge, Judy Zuffelato

After a delicious dinner, the meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.  We welcomed our new members Mary Clarkson and Judy Zuffelato.

Minutes of the May meeting were approved with the correction of the spelling of the Allen Organ and the clarification that $50 should be added to the budget for organ maintenance next year.

Steve gave the highlights of the Church Committee Meeting

Existing Business

-         Kay will call Antoinette Pajor of Berlin Social Services to find a home for our old choir robes.

-         Choir picnic will be held June 14 at 6:00.  Pawel will get directions for all.

New Business

-         Kay and Mary will take care of choir robe cleaning over the summer.

-         Will devise a rotating schedule for the committee members to attend the Church Committee meeting next year.  Steve will attend the Sept. meeting.

-         Pawel getting volunteers for special summer music.

-         Music Committee Officers were selected for 2006 – 2007:

o        Chairperson: Greg Benoit

o        Vice-Chairperson: Deidre Hooge

o        Secretary: Steve Wnuk

Music Director’s Report

-         Pawel’s summer vacation dates are July 30 and Sept.. 3.  He will also reserve Dec. 31 for vacation.

-         Sr. Choir last performance for the season -  June 11.

-         Bell Choir last performance for the season - June 18.

-         Pawel will be working at the Vacation Bible School this summer.

-         Pawel will rehearse with special summer musicians as available, usually after church on Sunday.

We agreed to try music committee meetings after church on Sunday.  Our next meeting will be Sept. 10, 2006.
