KCC Music Committee
Meeting Minutes – Dec. 10, 2006
Attending: Greg Benoit, Pawel Jura, Steve Wnuk, Kay Murray, Judy Zuffelato, Deirdre Hooge,
Visiting: Liz Chase
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm.
Minutes of the Nov. meeting were approved with the correction of “old Junior Choir Robes not all old choir robes” being distributed in New Orleans.
Kay gave the highlights of the Church Committee Meeting and distributed the Items of Interest.
Music Director’s Report
- Cantata rehearsals going very well.
- All choirs will perform at the Dec. 24 morning service
- Bell Choir will have extra ringers for Dec. 24
- Bell Choir rehearsals need retooling. Too few show-up for Thursday rehearsals.
- CE needs to give Pawel more notice when they need him for rehearsals
- Pawel found the caroling books to use for the caroling after the White Gifts Service
- Pawel will be on vacation Dec. 31. Ginny Tillman will substitute.
- Choir rehearsals resume the week of Jan. 8.
Existing Business
- Spring concert – Bernard Lurie is interested. Jason DeGroff and the McGee Jazz band are also interested. NB Choral not likely. Liz will check with Mr. Lurie to see if he is interested in playing on the same program as the McGee Jazz Band.
- Spring Concert start time is 3:00pm.
- Deb Mason will appraise the piano we are considering purchasing on Dec. 28
- Christmas Party at Greg and Karen Benoit on Dec. 27 at 6:30pm
New Business
- White Gifts Caroling – Will do a sign-up sheet after the Dec. 17 morning service
- Sr. Choir robes will be brought to New Orleans in January
Our next meeting will be Sun, Jan. 14, 2007 at Noon.
