WSL September 2005 Minutes

                                                Women’s Service League

                                          Minutes of Sept. 20th, 2005  Meeting

 

Annette Banulski opened the meeting with prayer.  She also introduce her new philosophy...throughout the year,each person present should invite just one person who does not usually attend WSL programs. It would increase attendance by 100%.

 

The minutes of  our June 7th business meeting were accepted.

 

The corrected budget for 2005-2006 was presented.  Terry made a motion to add a one time expenditure of  $1000.00 for hurricane relief.  The agency to receive the funds will be decided at a later date. Motion was accepted.  After claification of funeral reception supply, the 2005-2006 budget was accepted.

 

Carol Welz and Wendy Kingsbury will be co-leaders of the tag sale this spring.

 

We need leaders for the art show and luncheon slated for Jan 29th.   Put  the new philosophy into play, invited someone new to come and help.

 

Terry will find out about information on Celebration VII on March 17-19th including the sign-ups for the bus.

 

Alvina reported that the Tuesday Circle is off to a good start with 8 workers last week and 10 this week.  They are preparing bags of care gifts for evacuees.  She also show us the huggie pillows they are making and donating to children who find themselves in strange surroundings.  Karen Allen, our speaker from Hole in the Wall Gang, accepted the offer to have the pillows made for the next summer camp. 

 

Our next program will be an intergenerational tea with a program on November 6th  from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Women and girls of all ages are invited.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. at which time we enjoyed a program by Karen Allen and Ben ?? about the Hole in the Wall Gang camp.
